The Great Outdoors is Calling in Preble County!

Camden has five parks currently available for public use and one that is current in development (on land recently donated to the village).

Our challenging par 36 course was designed by Alex Campbell and features watered fairways, tees and greens, sand hazards, a driving range and wonderful views all within walking distance of downtown Eaton and the historic Roberts Bridge. Our charming private club has been offering good food, good company, and great nine-hole golf since 1921.

Welcome Racers and race fans.

The course – called “Distractions” – is located next to Acton Lake and winds its way in the shade under the park’s old-growth forest canopy. The sport of disc golf evolved as an offshoot of the Frisbee craze. Similar to traditional golf, disc golf players use discs and aim for a Disc Pole Hole, a pole extending up from the ground with chains and a basket where the disc lands. The sport is easy to learn and accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels. There is no charge to use the course.

Welcome to Hueston Woods State Park Golf Course, where golf is a natural encounter. You'll find no major roads, high tension wires or housing developments here, just the beauty and serenity of our southwestern Ohio park.

The limestone and shale bedrock of the Hueston Woods region provides evidence of the ancient shallow sea that once covered Ohio. Fossilized remnants of ancient marine animals are so abundant that the park attracts collectors year-round. Fossil hunting is just the beginning of the outdoor adventures found at this lodge park.

The Board of Park Trustees shall have those powers, duties, and functions provided by this Charter and the ordinances and resolutions of the Municipality; and those powers, duties, and functions conferred under the provisions of the laws of Ohio pertaining to similar boards in statutory plan municipalities where such municipalities are owners or trustees of property donated to such municipalities for park purposes; however, such statutory powers shall be administered in a manner consistent with this Charter and the ordinances and resolutions of the Municipality and such statutes, the provisions of the Charter or the ordinances and the resolutions shall prevail.
